FAQ

Common technical questions about using Knest. For billing and pricing questions, see the Pricing page.

Does the chatbot hallucinate?

Knest uses RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) to ground responses in your actual content. The AI searches your knowledge base for relevant information before generating an answer. If the answer isn't in your sources, the chatbot will say it doesn't know rather than make something up.

Answers include source citations so users can verify the information and explore the original content.

How often should I update my sources?

Re-sync sources whenever your documentation changes significantly. There's no need to sync on a schedule—just update when the content changes.

To re-sync:

  1. Go to the Sources tab
  2. Click Sync on the source you updated

Changes are available immediately after syncing.

Can I use Knest with private or authenticated content?

Currently, Knest only indexes publicly accessible content. It cannot crawl pages that require login or authentication.

You can work around this by uploading files directly. Go to the Sources tab and use the file upload option to add content from private documents.

Can I use Knest with my framework?

The web component works in any environment that supports modern browsers.
